VP athlete Fabien Cousinié shows DUst-pocalypse in store at Round 2 of the Enduro World Series Fabien Cousinié: “I think I know a little bit about dust and I can tell you this is the biggest dust battlefield I have ever seen on a race. Staying on the bike is a challenge  and riding fast without falling is a mission. This is definitely a race that will suit more DH riders and I think a lot of people are stoked about that!“ This all stages on board video preview is well worth a watch to see what the riders will be facing this weekend in Cerro Catedral, Argentina for the second round of the EWS. Everyone feels pretty spoiled with conditions never seen before. Trails are filled with dust but really a lot of dust, it’s almost like dust apocalypse! Chris Dekerf Chose the VP-Blade for his unique Grand Opus to Frame Building. Chris Dekerf had a vision. An experienced builder with over 25 years of success building beautiful bikes in Vancouver BC, he came to the 2016 North American Handbuilt Bicycle Show with one bike that showcased over 500 hours of passion and a risky idea to share something that had never been seen before. Dekerf’s vision was not just about an unridable conceptual show bike, it’s a bike that is not only unique, but ridable and in fact it was commissioned by a customer before the NAHBS show even considered.  This bike is a true work of art. You can learn more about the bike in his own words on his website, and you can see some great photos Here and Here

Fabien Cousinié : “I hope you guys will enjoy this preview so you can have an idea of what’s going to be the key points of the race. After trying to ride fast and comment, I understand way more Claudio’s crazy helmet cam because once you start riding loose while speaking it’s pretty hard not to yell! This preview is couple of minutes but the full race is close to 100km. I can tell you it’s going to be a tough one even for a fit rider.”

VP Harrier Pedals for Bike Backing

flat pedals for bike packing are a great option! Pedals for bike packing trips are a special case.  The ideal pedals for back packing should be strong and durable, but also simple and field-serviceable… and ok, it wouldn’t be so bad to save some weight with light pedals either! Bikepacking.com recently completed a solid and in-depth review of 8 different flat pedals for bike backing. Bikepacking.com opened by explaining their reason for looking at flat pedals for a type of riding that has long been dominated by clipless pedals: While there hasn’t been much change in the world of clipless cleat retention systems – a market long dominated by the likes of Shimano and Crank Brothers – the flat pedal market has been positively burgeoning. Perhaps this is a result of the growing trend of experienced riders trying out flat pedals for trail riding. Or maybe its down to the improvements inView More>>

VP Bar Tape

VP Grips and Tape are GO! – When our friends at Bike Rumor came by the booth at the 2016 Taipei International Cycle Show, they expected to see some great pedals, but were very impressed with our new line of VP Grips and Bar Tape! We have opened tooling and are producing several models of lock-on grips completely in-house targeting the mid and high-end OE Market.  Our goal is to bring advanced materials and new methods to bicycle grips and we have brought on a new materials engineer to lead our effort.  We have our own patent for locking grips which allows us to reduce the rigidity of the base material to create a low-profile grip that is more vibration damping and more comfortable than anything else on the market.  We will be expanding our offerings and opening more tooling looking ahead to Eurobike and MY2018 OEM sales.  We willView More>>

Rogatkin : Twister | Mind : BLOWN In the 2016 Masters of Dirt Nicholi Rogatkin unveiled a new trick just when we thought there were no tricks left to invent. We thought it looked like a 360 to cashroll… but Nicholi calls it as a frontwards corked 1080 that appears as a 720 which turns into the second half of a cashroll!… whatever it is its the most amazing these we have ever seen… You can see the POV of the Twister HERE on Nicholi’s facebook page.
